I also came across Ai Weiwei's work which i found fascinating how he takes the silhouette of a chandelier and turns it on different angles to give a whole new shape and perspective .

continuing on from part one the next artist i am going to be looking at is Christo. i like how he take a building or a structure and covers it taking away the details to create a more simple but effectively impacting shape.

the first part of my summer project (Silhouette) for university, i decided to start by look at other artists that i felt related to the topic. so i started by looking at Rachel Whiteread first . Her work is amazing how she takes a mold of an object and in return u get the negative space left behind from the mold.

im sorry its been so long. been swamped with college work and applying to uni's . i know i was describing how to do that red hooded dress but since its been so long ive actually forgot lol, but i do have something new to show you , i actaully made a bralette for my refashioned project from scratch

part 1 of college enchanted theme dress

hey guys i know its been awhile but ive been so busy getting ready for my assesment and with work that i didnt have time to post my progress with the dress but i am now so here the first step cutting out the pattern pieces.
for the first step you will need to cut out the skirt pieces on fold, (for the back the longer side on the fold) for the front (the shorter side on the fold) unlike me  you will only need to cut out 1 of each unless your adding lace over the top. . next step is to cut out the back pieces and for this you will need to cut out 2(on fold) as one of them is the lining.   . now this next part can get confussing  as there are 2 differnt front pieces the overbodice and the under bodice ( just ignore the wide bust dart i did this when i was using fur, just stick with the normal dart size). this first one is the overbodice and this one is not on fold  and has a little slant up the front and for this piece you will need to cut out 4 as 2 of them are lining for the underbodice this on is on fold and you will only need to cut out 1 now this bit is optional adding the hood is really difficult  ( the short side on the right is on fold and the top side is cut) you will need 2 of these if you wish to line your hood and that is it for the pattern pieces.
